If you post a letter to Father Christmas at Sutton’s Times Square you will help to save Radio Marsden.

The shopping centre will donate 50p to the hospital radio station for every letter left in its special post box.

Radio Marsden will go off-air permanently if an appeal to fund vital new studio equipment fails.

Based at Sutton’s world-renowned Royal Marsden cancer hospital the radio station will be forced to stop broadcasting if £50,000 is not raised to replace ageing equipment.

The shock announcement came as veteran Radio 2 broadcaster Ken Bruce joined Radio Marsden Chairman Jason Reynolds (l-to-r pictured) this week to launch an appeal to save the station.

Radio Marsden is delighted to be able to confirm that the Sutton Country Music Festival is returning.

On Sunday 19th August, in the grounds of the Royal Marsden Hospital at Sutton (Cotswold Road entrance – SM2 5PT), we will be showcasing three live acts, including the “Acoustic Astronauts” and Kelly Michelle, beginning at 10.30am.
