We don't have a playlist in the traditional sense - you could hear anything on Radio Marsden at any time!

However, every 3 weeks we compile a selection of tracks into a special playlist based on patient requests, new single releases, and all-time-favourites. 4 tracks from this list are played every hour during weekday daytimes and 2 tracks per hour during overnights.

Is your favourite here? If not, why not request it? As well as hearing it in the Request Hour, your choice might make it into the next playlist! And if you're stuck for a request, there are some great suggestions here.

Playlist Highlights

Bob Marley featured heavily in the Requests this week, so we're giving perennial favourite No Woman No Cry an airing....We like Coldplay's new album very much and we like title track Viva La Vida even more....West Yorkshire-born singer Corinne Bailey Rae's beautiful ballad Trouble Sleeping is often overlooked and barely made the Top 40, why not give it another listen....Break out that Hot Air Balloon, yes it's Fifth Dimension with their basket-filling pop-tastic hit Up, Up and Away, which was curiously only released as a cover version in Britain despite its massive success over the pond....And finally, a submission from our best customer on Bud Flanagan West ward, who's had a request every day this week - here's Sealed With a Kiss, not the Brie-esque cover by Jason Donovan, we've got taste - it's the far superior original from Bryan Hyland. Smooth!
