The safety of the patients and staff at the Royal Marsden Hospitals and our Radio Marsden volunteers is paramount. That’s why we have take the appropriate steps to ensure we remain Covid-19 secure.
We can confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of Covid-19 and have implemented the five steps to safer working together:
1. Carry out a COVID-19 risk assessment
We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and shared the results of the risk assessment with our workforce.
2. Develop cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures
We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedure in line with guidance.
3. Help people to work from home
We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home. This means many of our presenters have created home recording studios to make sure we continue to broadcast Radio Marsden shows 24 hours a day.
4. Maintain 2m social distancing, where possible
We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace.
5. Where people cannot be 2m apart, manage transmission risk
Where it’s not possible for people to be 2m apart, we have ensured at least a 1m distance and taken all the mitigating actions possible to manage transmission risk.
